We caught up with the owners of the hottest shops around to find out where they get their inspiration from.

Tom Brower has a deep and abiding love for Sea Isle City and has had it for years.

He’s also a restaurant guru of sorts. He’s owned restaurants since his early 20s, growing up in the Philadelphia area in Upper Darby, which is in Delaware County or “Delco” as the locals say.

A day at the beach can be the perfect summer escape with sunshine, salty air, and the soothing rhythm of the waves. But before you roll out your towel and dive into the water, it’s important to remember that the beach can pose real risks if you’re not prepared.

Kathryn Novak graduated from Ocean City High School in June and will attend Penn State University in the fall. The daughter of Pete and Karen Novak of Sea Isle City, she plans to major in bio behavioral health and pursue a career in dentistry.

TWO SICPD OFFICERS PROMOTED

Members of the Sea Isle City Police Department as well as officers from surrounding towns and former officers within the department filled the City’s Municipal Court room on June 2, when Patrolman Michael Mol was promoted to sergeant, and Sgt. Shawn Lesniewski was promoted to lieutenant.

Millie Annette Custer was born April 14 in Milwaukee, weighing 9 pounds, 7 ounces. Millie was welcomed into the world by her parents Alex and Charles “Buddy” Custer, big sister Quinn, and big brother Connor.

Where were you on May 7? It’s not a date that lives in infamy, but for many this year, it was one of frustration. May 7 marked the day the REAL ID requirement went into effect if you wanted to fly or enter any federal government building.

Summer is my favorite time of the year. The days are longer, the sun shines until late in the evening, shoes aren’t mandatory, boat rides are the perfect way to spend the afternoon, a bathing suit with a T-shirt is an acceptable outfit, and you can catch up on your favorite titles while sitting on the beach, soaking in the sun.

There’s just something that hits different with summer nights. The air is warm, everyone wants to be outside, and people seem happier. Whether you are planning a night out with the girls or looking forward to date night by the ocean, Coastal Palms Boutique has the perfect outfit for any occasion!
