Fourth of July Events

It’s all happening on the Fourth in Sea Isle City! From sun-soaked beaches and family fun to music and fireworks over the ocean, Sea Isle knows how to celebrate Independence Day in style.

Festive fun begins on Thursday, July 3 with the bicycle decorating contest and family dance party from 10am-12pm. Held at Excursion Park, kids and their families are invited to decorate their tricycles, wagons, bikes, scooters and strollers while enjoying a DJ dance party. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes for each division and 1st best in show.

Kick off your morning at Dealy Field with sounds of cheering families during the Junior Olympics. Boys and girls ages 3 to 12 will compete in running, jumping, and throwing events by age and gender groups, with Olympic-style medals awarded to the top three finishers in each category. For many families, it’s a highlight of the Fourth!

Registration begins at 9:30am and events run from 10-11:30am. Parents are reminded to pack hats, sunscreen, and bottled water for the event. This event is sponsored by the City’s Division of Recreation and hosted by volunteers from the Yacht Club of Sea Isle City.

As the day turns to night, the celebration continues with Sea Isle City’s dazzling Fourth of July fireworks. At 9:15pm, a spectacular display launches from a barge off 50th Street beach. Gather your group and hang out along the Promenade as the fireworks can be seen for miles. Don’t forget to sport your patriotic red, white, and blue!
