Mildred’s Closes After 67 Years

Yes, it’s true, another Jersey Shore landmark has become a thing of our past. After 67 years, Mildred’s Strathmere Restaurant closed its doors for the last time on Sunday, Sept. 15. Amid lots of hugs and even more tears were the memories of customers who came back for one final taste. We wish the Raffas all the best in their much deserved retirement. We managed to get the Mildred’s gang to take a quick break on that emotional night and pose for one last photo back on the line in the kitchen. Now, sadly, Mildred’s will have to live on in our hearts and memories.
