Karl J. Boehret Surf Fishing Tournament 
7am-12:30pm, Community Lodge

The 39th annual Karl J. Boehret Surf Fishing Tournament will take place over Mother’s Day weekend. Sponsored by the Delaware Valley Surf Anglers Association, the event features individual and team tournaments and includes a free lunch, door prizes and awards at Community Lodge after the tournament at 1pm.

Yard Sale 
7am-1pm, Town-wide

It’s spring cleaning season: Get your home ready for summer and say out with the old and in with the new! The Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization will host its annual Yard Sale over Mother’s Day weekend. All property owners in Sea Isle City are encouraged to participate. A list of participating addresses will be available online at seaislechamber.com.

Community Day 
10am-noon, Gymnasium (4501 Park Road)

Get ready for the season during Sea Isle City’s annual Community Day! All are invited to join a variety of organizations from Sea Isle City and Cape May County to pick up the latest information and brochures and learn about recent initiatives. The event includes free personal document shredding, free blood-pressure screenings, a bicycle auction and children’s activities. Mayor Leonard Desiderio will present the “Do the Right Thing” awards and the Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization will award its scholarships. Visitors are also encouraged to stop by the Garden Club Flower Show and the Job Fair, held simultaneously this year.

Sea Isle City Job Fair
10am-1pm, Community Lodge

Still searching for the perfect summer job? Join the Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization on Saturday, May 16 from 10am-1pm in conjunction with Community Day to meet with representatives from Sea Isle City’s local businesses and apply in person for available positions.

Beachcomber Bash
4-8pm, Kix McNutley’s

Enjoy an evening out with friends at the Beachcomber Bash! This annual fundraiser supports the Beachcomber Guides program and will feature dinner, live music and dancing, basket raffles, a 50/50 and a Wine Pull where everyone who buys a chance is a winner!

Memorial Day Ceremony
10am-11am, Veterans Park

Mayor Leonard Desiderio will be joined by local and county officials to honor the fallen on Memorial Day. The ceremony will take place at Veterans Park at 10am. Members of the VFW Post 1963 Ladies Auxiliary, Sea Isle City Fire Department, Police, and Ambulance Corps and local religious leaders will be among those in attendance as wreaths are placed at the base of the park’s Memorial Fountain.
