Peyton’s Promise 5K Run/2K Walk

Join the Laricks family for its annual Peyton’s Promise 5K Run/2K Walk on Saturday, June 6. The event is dedicated to Sea Isle City resident Peyton Elizabeth Laricks, who was born with a congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH). All proceeds from the event benefit the Peyton’s Promise CDH Research Fund at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Online registration is now available, or you can also register on the day of the event beginning at 8:30am. Following the race, a family-friendly after-party will be held at Paddy’s Green.

Women Veterans Recognition Day

Sea Isle City will host its Women Veterans Recognition Day ceremony for the second year in a row honoring the service and sacrifice of women in the U.S. Armed Forces. The program will include guest speakers and Quilts of Valor presentations. Held in conjunction with New Jersey’s Women Veterans Appreciation Day, the event highlights the contributions of nearly 26,000 women veterans statewide. Braca Family Women’s Basketball Tournament

Skimmer Festival

The whole family will enjoy a fun-filled Skimmer Festival Weekend in Sea Isle City. Stroll along the Promenade starting at 9am and browse a wide selection of craft vendors, then head over to Excursion Park for live entertainment from the Brass Pocket Band and bounce houses for the kids from 10am-3pm. Be sure to visit the Skimmer Food Court for a variety of delicious options, snap a photo in the photo booth, and enjoy face painting, balloon animals, and more throughout the day.
Dave Farina Men’s Basketball Tournament

Get in the game at the Dave Farina Men’s Basketball Tournament. Teams of up to eight players will compete in a five-on-five, double-elimination format, with a 12-team limit. Hosted by Sea Isle City’s Division of Recreation, the cost is $200 per team. Jerseys are included, and prizes will be awarded to the champions.

Prepare for an energetic day on the rink at this coed 6v6 hockey tournament sponsored by Hey Day Athletic. Teams will compete in a 4:2 player ratio format under official tournament rules, with each team guaranteed a minimum of three games. Players will receive an exclusive Heyday event shirt, and the winning team will take home long-sleeve champion shirts along with the coveted Heyday Trophy. The entry fee is $350 per team, and the deadline is June 10.

Skimmer Antique Auto Show and Parade

Treat dad on Father’s Day to a morning browsing the Skimmer Antique Auto Show and Parade along the Promenade. A variety of antique cars will be on display from 9am-1pm, followed by the awards ceremony at 1pm. Attendees will enjoy live music from Marnie & Nate from 10am-noon under the gazebo on the Promenade. The Antique Auto Parade will begin at 1:30pm. It will run south along Pleasure Avenue from 44th Street to 93rd Street, then north on Landis Avenue from 93rd Street to JFK Boulevard where it concludes.

Registration is now available for the 12th annual Sea Isle City Stomps Cancer 5K and Family Walk. The event raises funds and awareness for Bringing Hope Home, an organization established in 2008 to provide “Unexpected Amazingness” through financial and emotional support for local families dealing with cancer. Can’t attend in person but want to support? You can participate in the virtual event, June 21-28, at any location that is convenient and safe for you!

Families are invited to connect with nature through a hands-on wildlife display featuring live turtles and tortoises, along with engaging environmental exhibits from The Wetlands Institute, the Marine Mammal Stranding Center, Sea Isle City’s Environmental Commission, the Beachcomber Guides, and Sea Isle Terrapin Rescue. Enjoy face painting, strolling entertainment, and don’t miss the adorable “Diaper Derby” baby crawling contest! The rain date is June 30.

Hosted by the Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization, the market takes place at Excursion Park every Tuesday through Sept. 1 from 8am-noon. Browse a variety of fresh, locally grown produce and unique handmade crafts, grab a cup of coffee and some sweet treats. Don’t forget your reusable bag or stop by the Chamber tent to pick one up, while supplies last.
