Let’s look back 78 years to Memorial Day 1944.

The parade on Landis Avenue: That’s George Phillips, or “Georgie” as he was known then, on the right in the solider suit carrying the small flag. The ladies marching include Nan Fitch and Jean and Bess Soeder in the front and Louise Haffert in the rear. This is just one of the great photos that you’ll find at the SIC Historical Museum.
