Dear Readers,
It is hard to believe we have reached our Endless Summer issue and the final Sea Isle Times of the 2026 season. It has been a wonderful summer in Sea Isle City, filled with beautiful beach days, busy streets, familiar faces, and so many of the traditions that make summers here special.
As I look back on the season, what I feel most is gratitude.
To our readers, thank you for picking up the Sea Isle Times, reading our stories, sharing them with family and friends, and making us part of your time in Sea Isle. Whether you live here, spend your summers here or visit whenever you have the chance, your enthusiasm for this town and this publication means more to us than you probably realize.
And to our advertisers, thank you for continuing to believe in the Sea Isle Times. This is a free publication, and quite simply, we could not do what we do without you. Your support allows us to tell the stories of Sea Isle City, celebrate its people and businesses, and produce a publication that we are proud to share throughout the season. We are incredibly grateful for your partnership and your confidence in us.
There is still plenty to enjoy before we say goodbye to the season. In this issue, we look ahead to the events that will keep Sea Isle busy throughout the fall, while sharing stories about the people, businesses, and personalities that continue to make this town such an interesting place.
Al Morganti sits down with Philadelphia sports icon Pat Croce, whose newest chapter takes him in a quite different direction as a spiritual author. Jack Byrne catches up with local musician Colin Lynch as his career continues to take off, while Alexa Lesniak shares the story behind a very special new beach wheelchair donated in honor of Jack Kropp’s 30th birthday. Katherine Custer celebrates the life and legacy of Cecile Dever, a woman whose nearly 100 years left an enduring mark on generations of Sea Isle families. And, of course, we have plenty of fall fashion, food, books, and things to do along the way.
Summer may be winding down, but Sea Isle certainly doesn’t stop when Labor Day arrives. We hope you enjoy this Endless Summer issue and all that the months ahead have to offer.
Most of all, thank you for another great season. From all of us at the Sea Isle Times, we are grateful to be part of your summers and grateful for everyone who makes this publication possible.
