Weekly Free Concerts Under the Stars

 

May 30

Memorial Day Ceremony

Sea Isle City honors the fallen during its annual Memorial Day ceremony on Monday, May 30. Mayor Leonard Desiderio will be joined by local and county officials at Veterans Park beginning at 10am for the ceremony that salutes those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Wreaths will be placed at the base of the park’s Memorial Fountain in honor of soldiers who died. At the conclusion of the ceremony, attendees will head down to the beach to pay tribute to the nation’s naval deceased.

SIC Start of Summer Social Pickleball Tournament

Take part in the SIC Start of Summer Social Pickleball Tournament on Saturday, June 4. Beginner and intermediate coed doubles teams are invited to play in this fun and lively tournament. Hosted by Tennis by Tyler, all teams are guaranteed two games. The cost to participate is $70 per team and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to a local charity. Business sponsorships and vendor spaces are available.

Green Fair and Art Show

A new event for 2022! Sponsored by the Sea Isle City Department of Community Services, Environmental Commission, Chamber of Commerce and Green Team, this event highlights the art of local artists and demonstrates ways to reduce, reuse and recycle. There will be a tree giveaway, demonstrations on recycling, and art vendors with items for sale.

Peyton’s Promise 5K Run/2K Walk
10am, JFK Boulevard & Promenade

This annual event is dedicated to Sea Isle City resident Peyton Laricks and her courageous fight against the birth defect known as congenital diaphragmatic hernia. All proceeds from the event benefit the Peyton’s Promise CDH Research Fund at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Online registration is now available, or you can also register on the day of the event beginning at 9am. Following the run and walk, a family-friendly after-party will be held at Paddy’s Green.

June 11

Bill Liddell Men’s Basketball Tournament

The Sea Isle City Recreation Department presents the 2nd annual Bill Liddell Men’s Basketball Tournament. The tournament will feature a maximum of 12 teams with an eight-man roster. The cost to participate is $150 per team and all players will receive jerseys. Prizes will be awarded to winners.

June 14

Full Moon Yoga

Join NJ Beach Yoga for its eighth year of offering this popular community event designed to share positive energy with those new to yoga as well as experienced yoga friends. Enjoy Moon Salutations and Moonlight Meditation on 5th Street beach as the full moon rises over the ocean. Online registration is required, and sign-ups will be open June 1-13. Teri O’Connor, ERYT-500, Reiki Master and owner of NJ Beach Yoga, guides the class with assistance from local yoga teachers from Cape May through Atlantic City.

June 18

Sea Goal Cup Hockey Tournament

Participate in this one-day hockey tournament sponsored by Hey Day Athletic. Registration will begin at 8:30am with coed six-person teams vying for the Sea Goal Cup. The cost is $325 to register a team (referee fees included) for the tournament. All players receive a Sea Goal Cup Tournament shirt and are guaranteed three games. The winning team will be presented with championship long-sleeve T-shirts and trophy.

Skimmer Festival

Held annually over Father’s Day weekend in Sea Isle City, Skimmer Festival weekend offers a variety of family fun. Browse more than 300 craft vendors spanning the Promenade and check out the entertainment and amusement rides at Excursion Park from 9am-4pm on Saturday, June 18.

The Skimmer Food Court is back from 10am-4pm with a variety of food options. There will be free amusement rides, live music, a variety of free family activities including Old Tyme Photos, an Art Bar, face painters, and more.

June 19

Skimmer Antique Auto Show and Parade

Spend Father’s Day browsing antique cars along the Promenade with your dad! The Skimmer Antique Auto Show from 9am-1pm will feature nearly 90 antique cars on display along the Promenade. The awards ceremony will begin at 1pm, followed by the Antique Auto Parade at 1:30pm. The parade will exit the Promenade from 44th Street and proceed south on Pleasure Avenue to 94th Street, then loop back toward 44th Street on Landis Avenue.

Joe Walsh Memorial 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament

Held to benefit Minding Your Mind, the 8th annual Joe Walsh Memorial will host basketball players 18 and older for a 3 on 3 tournament. Sign ups begin at 9am the day of the tournament or teams can sign up ahead of time on the Facebook page. The cost to participate is $60 per team and games will begin at 10am.

Sea Isle City STOMPS Cancer 5K Run/1 Mile Walk

Join the Bringing Hope Home Foundation in Sea Isle City for its eighth annual Sea Isle City STOMPS Cancer 5K Run and 1 Mile Family Walk. The event is presented by the Oar House Pub and registration is now available online. The organization was established in 2008 to provide “Unexpected Amazingness” through financial and emotional support for local families dealing with cancer. Following the race, everyone is invited back to the Oar House Pub for a postrace party featuring awards, food, music and more.

This popular event returns after a two-year hiatus! Families are invited to connect and learn about the important role that turtles play in our environment. The event will feature family entertainment including face painting, bounce houses, strolling entertainment, and the Turtlesinger Show at 8pm. Don’t miss all the cuteness of the “Diaper Derby” crawling contest for babies beginning at 7:10pm.

Kick off summer and join the Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization for the 2022 Farmers Market season. Held every Tuesday from June 21-Aug. 30 at Excursion Park, the market features the produce and goods of 40 local farmers and craft vendors. Attendees can grab a cup of coffee and walk around the open-air market before hitting the beach.
