Days Gone By

This photo takes us back 15 years to 2008 when Boy Scout Troop 76 celebrated its 65th anniversary. Here, as part of the ceremony, Mayor Desiderio presents a key to Sea Isle City to the late Jim English. Jim was first associated with Sea Isle City’s Boy Scouts back in 1973. He served as scoutmaster for 25 years and helped guide 23 scouts to the rank of Eagle Scout. Troop 76 continues to do great work, and is always looking for new members. If you have a youngster interested in scouting, contact scoutmaster Robert Day at 609-425-8108. And a very happy 80th birthday to Sea Isle City Troop 76! That’s a lot of candles to blow out.
