Enjoy acoustic tunes and melodies by local favorite J. Liberio. Hosted by the Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization, this event encourages all to come out for some great music, grab a bite to eat, and pop in the stores.


July 4

Junior Olympics

The Junior Olympics is open to boys and girls ages 3 to 12 who want to compete in friendly athletic endeavors such as running, jumping, and throwing challenges. There will be medals in each bracket. This free event is sponsored by the City’s Division of Recreation and hosted by volunteers of the Yacht Club of Sea Isle City.

Strathmere Fourth of July Parade
10:30am, Strathmere Firehouse, 609-231-6000 (Rain date: July 5)

Break out your red, white and blue and enjoy this festive parade through Strathmere! Refreshments and awards will take place at Deauville Inn following the parade.

All Americana Family Fun Night

Featuring an interactive children’s performance with an appearance by characters inspired by Mickey and Minnie Mouse and activities for the entire family, the event leads up to one of the biggest fireworks displays at the Jersey Shore.

Beginning promptly at 9pm, the fireworks display will be launched off a barge near 50th Street beach featuring an array of colors and shapes, and is viewable from almost any beach in town.


July 5

Sea Isle City Farmers Market (Tuesdays)

Grab fresh and local New Jersey produce and browse through a variety of craft vendors each week at the Farmers Market hosted by the Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization. Grab a cup of coffee and walk around the open-air market before hitting the beach.


July 6-7

Captain Thomas P. McCann Mascot School

Captain Thomas P. McCann Mascot School is open to boys and girls ages 4-8 and teaches mascots beach and water safety while also participating in races and games. Forms can be downloaded from the beach patrol website.


July 7

Acoustic Open Mic Night (Ages 14-20) (Thursdays)

Hosted by the Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization, this free event is for teens ages 14-20 and includes karaoke, cornhole, and pickup volleyball games with the Sea Isle City Police Department.


July 8

Maryanne Pastry’s Cornhole for Cancer

An endeavor of the For Pete’s Sake organization, Maryanne Pastry Shoppe will host the second annual Cornhole for Cancer fundraiser in memory of late family member Peter R. Bossow Jr., who was a Sea Isle City lifeguard. Registration is required and is now open online. All teams must be registered by noon on July 6.


July 9

Captain Thomas P. McCann Mascot School Races

Following Mascot School, kids ages 4 through 8 will experience a series of races such as sprinting and relays under the supervision of the Sea Isle City Beach Patrol as they take the skills learned in school and apply them to the friendly races that teach good sportsmanship.

SIC Ruggerfest

Hosted by the Blackthorn RFC, registered USA Rugby players 18 and older are invited to play in the ultimate friendly competition. Games are played for about 20 minutes and teams are chosen at the field. Throughout the day, Blackthorn youth teams will also play a few rounds of flag rugby.

Back by popular demand, the Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization will host its annual Fashion Show where attendees will catch a glimpse of summer fashion and accessories. Music will be provided by J. Liberio. Pop-up shopping will be available on the lawn.


July 13

Full Moon Beach Yoga

Join NJ Beach Yoga for this popular community event designed to share positive energy with those new to yoga as well as experienced yoga friends. Enjoy Moon Salutations and Moonlight Meditation on 5th Street beach as the full moon rises over the ocean. Online registration is required.


July 15

Beach Classic Men’s Street Hockey Tourney

A round-robin tournament featuring teams from around the country. The tournament offers four levels of play from beginner to advanced, and each team is guaranteed three games during the tournament.


July 16

Steve Libro Men’s Basketball Tournament 9am-6pm, JFK Basketball Courts, seaislerec.recdesk.com

The Sea Isle City Recreation Department will host the tournament, which will feature a maximum of 12 teams with eight-man rosters. The cost to participate is $150 per team for five-on-five games.


July 21

Junior Lifeguard Program
10:30am-1pm, 44th Street & Promenade, sicbp.com

Open to men and women ages 14-17, the Junior Lifeguard Program will be held each Tuesday and Thursday from July 21 to Aug. 9. Enrollment is limited to the first 40 applicants. Participants will learn basic lifesaving skills and rescue techniques.

Carnival By the Sea

New in 2022! Spend Friday night at the Carnival by the Sea with fun entertainment for the entire family! The event will feature magic on stage with Chazz Barber, carnival games, a bounce house, an inflatable obstacle course, carnival food, characters, roaming carnival acts, and more!

Sandy Sprint Sea Isle City 5K Run/Family Walk

Join the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation for the Sandy Sprint Sea Isle City 5K Run/Family Walk. The event raises funds and awareness for advanced research of ovarian cancer. Following the event, there will be an after-party at the Ludlam Bar & Grill.

Shore Softball Classic

Sponsored by Heyday Athletic, the Shore Softball Classic invites players ages 18 and older to play in a friendly softball tournament. The tournament draws about 20 teams each year and all teams are guaranteed two games.

Sea Isle City Beach Patrol 1-Mile Ocean Swim

The Sea Isle City Beach Patrol’s annual 1-mile ocean swim is a friendly and competitive way to test your ocean swimming skills. T-shirts are guaranteed to the first 250 registrants.

Celebrate Christmas in July featuring photo opportunities with the man himself. Santa is back for his midsummer check-in with all the boys and girls on his list. The event coincides with the weekly Family Fun Night.

Seize the Wave

Seize the Wave is a special surf instruction event brought to you through a collaboration between Epilepsy Services of New Jersey and Paul’s Purple Warriors. Surfer Jared Muscat, who was diagnosed with epilepsy at age 17, will be the special guest at the event.

Captain Bill Gallagher 10-Mile Island Run

Held rain or shine, runners will be computer chip-timed for the race that starts on the beach at the Promenade with the finish line at Beach Patrol Headquarters. The awards ceremony will take place after the race at headquarters.


 

Phillies Youth Home Run Derby

Phillies Youth Home Run Derby

Open to boys and girls ages 7 to 12, registration will take place before the competition begins at 11am. Each winner will receive a plaque and will advance to the next level of competition for a chance to play in the finals at Citizens Bank Park later in the year.
