Proud parents Scott McDowell and Elizabeth Ellison of Oceanview, welcomed Linda Song McDowell born on April 2, 2012 at Shore Memorial Hospital. Baby Linda arrived just after midnight. She was born less than half an hour shy of being an April Fool's Day baby!  The adorable little girl weighed in at 7 lbs. 2 oz. and measured 20” long. It won't be long before she is playing April Fool's jokes on her big sister Christina. The happy family is doing great!!




On April 1, Amelia Grace Davis was born to Lawrence and Melissa (Feeley) Davis, of Valley Forge, Pa., weighing 8 pounds, 11 ounces and measuring 21 inches. Amelia’s mom is a native of Sea Isle City who attended Wildwood Catholic High School and Atlantic Cape Community College. Her dad is an electrical contractor who attended Archbishop Carroll High School and Villanova University. Amelia’s grandparents are J.B. and Eva Feeley, of Sea Isle City, and John and Lorraine Davis, of Valley Forge. In addition to her Uncle Bernard, Aunt Mary and Cousin Vincent on her mother’s side of the family, she is welcomed by her paternal uncles, John, Mark, Gregory and Michael. Plus, she is also receiving plenty of love from her family’s dogs, Grady and Bug, who often stand guard next to her cradle. Welcome, Amelia!



On October 1, Landon Andrew Oliver was born to Scott and Lauren Oliver, the co-owners of Basilicos Ristorante and Pizzeria on 43rd Street. October 1 is an extra-special day for the Oliver family because it also is the birthday of Landon’s big brother, Gavin. Sharing in the joy of Landon’s arrival are his Mom-Mom Elizabeth Graham, and his numerous aunts and uncles, including Nikki and Alan McTague, Steve and Gina Oliver, Jason and Debbie Oliver, and Vinson and Megan Powell, who also are co-owners of Basilicos. Landon’s proud godparents are his Uncle Stefan and Aunt Michelle Powell, the owners of Avalon Pools. He is shown with his parents on March 11, during his christening celebration at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Landis Avenue. Welcome to Sea Isle City, Landon! 



On February 29, Francesca Grace Pittaluga was born to Joe and Kristy Pittaluga, of Sea Isle City. Francesca came into this world on “Leap Day,” weighing 6 pounds, 4 ounces and measuring 20 inches. She was named in memory of her paternal grandfather, Frank Pittaluga, of Sea Isle City, and her maternal great-grandmother, Grace Reeves, originally of Youngstown, Ohio. She is welcomed by her proud grandparents Santa Pittaluga, of Sea Isle City; Hank Mathis and Patricia Reeves, of Atlanta; and Jim and Eleesa Ferrelli, of Oklahoma City. This summer, look for Francesca at Pier 88 Marina, where you will find her with her family, scooping minnows for customers and throwing a tennis ball into the water for her “big sister” Georgie-Girl, the German shorthaired pointer who is often by her side. Welcome, Francesca Grace!



Victoria Grace “Tori” Lang was born at 2:56 a.m. on January 22 at Bryn Mawr Hospital to Mark and Colleen (Gallagher) Lang. At birth, Tori weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces, and she measured 20 inches. Her mom is a Sea Isle City native and her dad originally is from Bethlehem, Pa. Tori is the little sister of Maggie, 5, Annie, 3, and James, 1. She is the 14th grandchild of Sea Isle City residents Bill and Trish Gallagher, of Venicean Road. Welcome, Tori! 




In November, George and Barbara Light celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. The two met while attending West Catholic for Boys and West Catholic for Girls high schools, and they were married at Transfiguration of Our Lord Catholic Church in Philadelphia. 

Today they have four daughters, Barb, Jenn, Julia and Missy, and seven grandchildren, Katie, Christopher, Kelly, Matthew, Brendan, Sarah and Molly. They are Havertown residents, and bought their first shore home in Sea Isle City in 1969.  Along the way, they also have lived in Bala Cynwyd and Merion Station. Barbara (nee Fredd) teaches second grade at Saint Francis Xavier School in the Fairmount section of Philly, and George works in the development office at his alma mater, West Catholic High School. In honor of their special anniversary, Mayor Desiderio proclaimed November 23, 2011, to be “George and Barbara Light Day.” Best wishes to the Lights!



Alexa Jenelle Terruso and Peter Anthony Campilango Jr. are engaged to be married! Alexa, a Sea Isle City native, is the daughter of Susan and James Terruso. She is a 2004 graduate of Ocean City High School and she earned a degree in accounting at Rowan University in 2008. Peter is the son of JoAnn and Peter Campilango Sr., of Totowa, N.J. He is a 2004 graduate of Passaic Valley High School, and he also graduated from Rowan in 2008, with a degree in accounting and finance. Alexa and Peter both are accountants and reside in Totowa. A September 2013 wedding is planned. Best wishes, Alexa and Peter!

Jim and Linda McLaughlin, of Sea Isle City, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelli, to David Velez, who is originally from Mount Vernon, N.Y. David is the son of Marisa and Joseph Spina, of Cary, N.C. Kelli and David met while attending the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, where he studied political science and economics and she studied biology and chemistry. Currently, they each are earning their doctorate degree in chiropractics at Life University in Marietta, Ga. Kelli has two sisters, Kristy, of Nickleton, N.J., and Kathleen, of Atlanta. David is one of four children, including his brother Joaquin, of San Francisco, and two sisters, Cristiana, of New York City, and Laura, of Cary. A September 28, 2012 wedding is planned at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Stone Harbor, followed by a reception at Stone Harbor Yacht Club. Best wishes, Kelli and David!
